Heartland Conference
Patriots and Cardinals Picked to Top Conference
The Heartland Conference race for the championship in Men's and Women's Cross Country will
be wide open, with eight teams having a chance to take a piece of the championship on the women's side, while six teams will run for the championship on the men's side. Looking to defend their Heartland Conference Title on the men’s side will be the University of the Incarnate Word Cardinals, while the Dallas Baptist University Patriots will look to defend their Championship on the women’s side.
Picked to finish second and third respectively for the men is Incarnate Word and Newman. The
remainder of the field competing for the men's championship will be Texas A&M International,
University of Texas – Permian Basin, and Oklahoma Panhandle State. Picked to finish second and third respectively for the women is Incarnate Word and Newman, Lincoln, TAMIU, St. Mary’s, UTPB, and OPSU will wrap up the remainder of the teams competing for a championship.
