Incarnate Word Invitational Sept 26, 2008

The men's team have not rested but mustard a 16th and 17th place by the top two harriers. I have been running both squads through some high mileage. Their bodies will eventually adapt to the stress and the times will improve steadily in the coming weeks. On the women's side our top runner Marlene Gutierrez ran to a second place finish, finishing 46 seconds behind the overall winner Jennifer Cherono of West Texas A&M a potential national qualifier for the NCAA DIVISION II Cross Country Meet. It's exciting to see how the hard work is paying off for Marlene Gutierrez a redshirt just a year ago. The women's team has been stepping up to the plate every weekend. We shall wait and see how everything goes in conference.
